OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, announced today that Diamond Kinetics (DK) has been named an Official Supplier for the USA Softball National Team Program effective now through Dec. 31, 2023.

“As technology in our sport continues to evolve, athletes and coaches are beginning to incorporate the use of data analysis to further develop their skills,” said USA Softball Chief Executive Officer, Craig Cress. “By partnering with Diamond Kinetics, USA Softball is able to integrate advanced hitting and pitching technology into our National Teams Program, which will provide our athletes with professional-grade data that will elevate their game. We are really looking forward to utilizing this tool as our National Teams continue to prepare for the highest level of competition.”

The collaboration between Diamond Kinetics and USA Softball brings DK’s innovative technology to the top athletes in the game. Not only do the science-based analytics improve training for pitchers and hitters, they create engaging experiences that bring the sport to life. This partnership will allow members from the six USA Softball National Team Programs (Women’s National Team, Junior Women’s National Team, Men’s National Team, Junior Men’s National Team, Women’s Slow Pitch National Team and Men’s Slow Pitch National Teams) to gain access to the data collected through DK’s PitchTracker Smart Softball and the SwingTracker Bat Sensor, both of which can be accessed through mobile apps. Each device’s respective mobile app allows players to receive instant feedback on their swings and throws, benchmark their metrics against other players, track improvement, and share data with coaches to facilitate in-person and even remote training.

“We are excited to bring our technology to the USA Softball teams and open it up to their entire membership,” said CJ Handron, Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Kinetics. “Working closely with a respected organization such as USA Softball can help fuel player development at all levels, from the youngest players trying to build the foundation of their game to professionals and Olympic athletes who want to sharpen the finer points of their swing or pitch arsenal.”

Diamond Kinetics is a Pittsburgh-based sports-tech company focused entirely on the games of baseball and softball. As the market leader in the space, Diamond Kinetics combines motion-based-sensors with mobile applications and a robust digital platform to provide hitting and throwing data to players, parents, coaches, and teams – helping them understand their performance, improve, and have more fun playing the game they love.

Through its SwingTracker and PitchTracker technology, DK captures millions of swings and throws each year to help coaches and scouts accurately benchmark and objectively evaluate talent. Beyond the metrics, DK’s mobile applications offer a number of innovative features aimed at player development.
